ECHOES OF FABERGE'S PAST
Three themes, flowers, fables and folklore, and art are at the heart of the maiden high jewellery collection from Fabergé, which has been enjoying a renaissance under new ownership.
The collection Les Fleurs de Fabergé, Les Fables de Fabergé, and Les Fauves de Fabergé, echoes the artistic heritage of artist-jeweller Peter Carl Fabergé, who was the goldsmith to the Russian Imperial Court and became well known for creating a series of Imperial Easter Eggs. His last pieces were created about 90 years ago, when he and his family fled Russia following a crackdown by the Bolsheviks. In 2007, the brand was reunited with the family under a new owner.
Peonies, black tulips and fallen rose petals are captured in the Les Fleurs de Fabergé range. They make references to the Russian passion for flowers and pay homage to Fabergé’s carved stone flowers. The sculpted creations capture the fleeting beauty of nature through their rhythm of line, form and colour.

BULLISH PROSPECTS
Wristwatches, sunglasses, bicycles, golf carts, coffee machines, art works, business hotels in Italy, lounges, perfumes, leather goods, shoes, lawnmovers, jewellery, lighters, apparel, beds and even chainsaws. The product portfolio of Tonino Lamborghini continues to evolve. Since the very first watch came out in 1981, the raging bull logo has planted itself on a variety of consumer products and industrial goods.
Then came the mobile phone. The Spyder. Made available with a Bluetooth headpiece and a charger, the phone is enveloped by a steel casing and has a sapphire blue screen. The bull is imprinted on the central key on the front pad as well as beside the camera lens at the back of the phone.

BUBBLY CHARACTER
Lovers of sparkling wines have seen bright and bold champagne coolers crafted with thermal jackets and carriers that then turn into little bags to hold essentials. There have been other coolers designed like handbags so they can be carried like an accessory or in the back cabin of a Maybach.
The Chandon Chill Out Box (HK$2,320) is the latest to join the list of coolers on the shelves. The portable carrier in glossy white and shoulder strap will hold four sparkling wine bottles. The cooler would appeal to the iPod generation, too, since it has a removable iPod dock with two stereo speakers. Chilling out outdoors has become that much more appealing with music on the go and bubbly box in hand.
